Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal grabbed a well deserved win over Chelsea, closing the gap between them and the top four to just 3 points. A victory that came from a discouraging Chelsea performance.
Chelsea dominate most of the ball possession during the game, completing a lot of passes but not really threatening the opposition with the ball.
Arsenal, on the other hand use what possession they have for their quick counter attacks. Arsenal almost opening the scoring in the 13th minute, after Kepa saved a point blank header from Koscielny.
It would just be a temporary escape for Chelsea though, as Lacazette puts the ball in the back of their net just a minute later. Lacazette controlling the ball from a corner, dribbling past 2 defenders and playing the ball in at the near post.
Chelsea get a chance in the 19th minute after an excellent ball from David Luiz over the Arsenal defence, but Pedro plays it too high over the keeper and the ball finds the wrong side of the empty net.
Koscielny doubles Chelsea's lead in the 39th minute. A ball from Sokratis meeting Koscielny, who guides it into he back of the net with his header.
Chelsea get a corner kick before the break and it's curled into the Arsenal box, with Alonso heading towards goal but just being unlucky to hit the bar.
Arsenal go into the half time break looking in total control. Playing with a lot of intensity that hopefully will continue in the second period.
Arsenal hold a strong defence in the second half, with Chelsea just unable to find an answer to the 2 goal deficit. A lack of creativity just ends up seeing Chelsea not create any real chances in the second half.
The game eventually closes with Arsenal taking a deserved 2-0 victory and moving to just 3 points from Chelsea at the fourth place.
