Snowden Says Big Tech is Leading Us into Servitude

Big tech may appear to be under fire from government, but they are actually mutually aligned in their desire for big data and the use of it to capture the lives of everyone for their own controlling desires.

Snowden spoke to RT recently about the all too eager desire of big tech like Facebook and Google to work with governmental agencies for data collection. Governments want the data to go after people for various reasons, even retroactively once they do something that makes them a target.

"...everything you've done, everything you've typed into their search box, everything you have clicked on, everything you've liked."

"Your communications, as they happen largely today, don't actually take place between you and the person that you are talking to. They happen between you and Facebook, who then provides a copy of it to the person you are talking to, or you and Gmail, who then gives a copy of it to the person that you are talking to and every time these transactions occur through these service providers, they keep a record of it."

Bettering the corporations is in alignment with bettering the state. As the former grows in power, it enables the latter to as well. Big tech sharing with big brother will grow to become the new standard of mass surveillance.

"We see that governments increasingly care less and less about compliance, and care more and more about power."

Looking around the world, corporations have the data of the entire world nearly. Data communications are completely in their grasp. They are the faucet which our interactions flow through, and they for what they want with the data.

"The law simply has not caught up to the fact that a technological corporation now can indenture entire populations into servitude to the corporate good, rather than to individual or public good."

Political dissents, critical journalists and anyone who dares to speak freely against a desired narartive that the corporations or governments desire to see, have become targets. From Facebook, Google and governments such as those in France and other nations, these powers use their control to punish those who they don't agree with.

WikiLeaks has begun to be deslisted/banned from Twitter. People are starting to notice that and other censorship that has escalated in the past 3 years. There is a change things will get better.
