Horizon Zero Dawn photogrammetry to Augmented Reality workflow
This is something I've been thinking of doing for the longest time. Some of the new PS4 games come with an in-game photo mode, allowing you to pause the game and enjoy the game environment from various angles - and that gave me an idea!
I've decided to re-create the game character of Horizon: Zero Dawn, Aloy by taking a number of screenshots using the photomode, importing them into Reality Capture 2.0, turning them into a 3D mesh and then optimizing for Augmented Reality viewing
Yes! You can now literally "stand" next to Aloy!
