LET 'EM HAVE AT IT! THE PPC HAS BETTER THINGS TO DO...

Could a legal spat between Scheer and Trudeau help or hinder the PPC?
When elephants tussle it's the grass that suffers. Could a highly public legal dispute, granted it gets that far, work to the advantage of the People's Party of Canada or would our budding party get lost in the haze of media sensationalism? Would it be wise for us to get caught up in the mele or just remain the principled, policy-based party we are and stick to getting our message out? I believe the latter but it might be risky because people do love a good spectacle and this could be the distraction the Conservatives need to take on the Liberals.

I think it would be prudent to stick to promoting our platform while exposing the Conservatives for being more interested in political mudslinging than creating a platform that resonates with Canadians. In my humble opinion, I think it would beneath his character for Maxime Bernier to get caught up in this hype. Speak his mind he must but I trust him to maintain the swagger we've come to appreciate about him while this scandal plays out. As far as Trudeau and his Liberals are concerned, they're doing all the work for us. Who knows just yet? This lawsuit business might be over by the end of the week and the public could very well be watching Trudeau squirming his way out of a brand new scandal or gaffe. He is reliable on that front I'll give him that.

But I want to talk about the PPC and the opportunity we have at this moment. Our policy is realistic, our principles are sound and we are gaining traction. I believe there is something about this SNC Lavalin / lawsuit issue that can offer an advantage to the PPC if we properly capitalize on it. I believe it is through memes. Here me out friends. There is no denying the efficacy of a well-placed shit post. If we can use humour to highlight how the two biggest parties in Canada are more interested in their catfight; during an election year no less, than doing what's right by Canadians let alone what's right at all, it may win over a lot of voters who also feel left behind. And if the American election of 2016 proved anything, it's that social media is becoming a permanent fixture in politics of the 21st century. Humour has always been a part of our election process but only lately has it become an effective strategy. Memes are quickly becoming an essential element in one's political arsenal. Call me crazy but I believe some well-timed jokes would help the PPC in our journey to Ottowa. I know I'm being laughably optimistic here but what can I say...the People's Party of Canada has that effect on me. So like I've said already about Scheer and Justin, let 'em have at it! The jokes will write themselves.
