SMT Proposal: Adventure Tokens
I camp off the grid. A lot. What if a token were to reward people for documenting their adventures to mountain peaks, deep into caves, and diving in the ocean? Hunters, fishermen, bikers, and everyone else who goes where most do not could be part of the community. Psycho-naughts, amateur rocket builders, and people who are responsible with their campfires could be rewarded.
What would you spend the tokens on? Favors from other adventurers, of course!
During our recent camping trip, we met someone who was travelling the world with nothing but plane tickets and a few bucks. Why not offer a few tokens to fellow adventurers to warm yourself by their fire and share their meal and beer? Why not reward people for cleaning trash after irresponsible travelers? Why not use your token count as a badge of honor amongst other adventurers?

I've had a similar idea floating around in my head for a while now. Starting to flesh it out a bit now actually. Started our new Steem dApp not too long ago -- and people are currently getting rewarded for posting about hikes, runs, and bike-rides.
I'd like to expand it to include rock-climbing, and many other adventurous activities; and I'm planning to learn a bit about issuing an SMT for it (which would pay adventurers / athletes, and also help fund groups like the Alpine Club of Canada, and various other Nature Access organizations for helping keep parks accessible).

i have a hard time understanding the economics of this. why would such activity require a native token? how would such a token get off the ground with such a tiny user base?
