I have moved all my content away from the now centralized and controlled Steem blockchain to the decentralized Hive blockchain.
Well, we are blessed to live in the time where anyone who has a creative idea can accomplish it in the easiest way thanks to internet and crypto.
Now you've even paved that road.
All we need to do is ...stroll.
But, let's say we don't want own currency. We want a currency that will be useful for society. maybe we can make a tag in Steemit or similar and build a project together, where anyone intereted can participate.
Like a joint venture hub... I like that... you hear this Flo? This man has another idea you can tackle :P
Yeah, maybe like a "whiteboard" where anyone can attach their own idea, and anyone can build the concept of that idea and maybe multiple projects can be made out of it. Participants can get tokens of the future project if their idea or work was used in the project.
Sounds like a marvelous idea. Someone should make a proper post out of this and drop me the link!
I am hearing! However, it should be tackled by the collective so we can play bounce. This is what Steemit is all about afterall.
So I throw #society-smt as a tag into the room for all interested minds to write posts and make videos to discuss ideas for a Community Project SMT that benefits society!

Can You please make a new video about using utopian vs SMT ... with pros and cons compared? Since you were a mod at utopian you certainly will be more knowledgeable than me to grasp the smart differences ... also I don’t know if SMT has already been launched or not ?

Utopian is a niche platform for the Steem blockchain rewarding open source contributions. SMTs are a new feature of the Steem blockchain allowing everyone to create new cryptos with Steem-features.
There is no SMT token... SMT allows you to create your own token.

You are absolutely right with all the costs. However, starting small and with a public strategy will bring you tons of support if you network and talk with people. It's much easier than going to find investors in suits. :)

What is the starting cost of a new website based on Steemit? I mean: is a shared hosting plan okay? Are do you need a dedicated server?
It would be awesome if someone can make a starting list of all the starting cost for a little project.
That's a great idea @folken. I'm not to well-read on Utopian and how the deployment process works for new SMTs/projects.... I'm going to do some research over the next few days and try to put something together. If you have any resources, please let me know!

I'd like to learn more about utopian-io, but I didn't like that I had to give it a ton of control over my steem account, maybe once I've created a second account I'll give it a go...
Don't fear: They use the open source SteemConnect tool, developed from the Busy.org makers. It is endorsed by Steemit.com and handles all your keys without giving them actually to the third party applications like Utopian, Busy or DTube. And besides, Utopian has 4 Million STeem Power delegated to big chunks from Steemit as well. So it is a very trustworthy project handled by capable developers. :)

Yeah right? Always seems the plate full. But if you start juggeling and delegating things start to flow in totally new ways. I think I will provide you with plenty of crazy SMT ideas in the future. :D
