Ben Wyvis Hill of Terror
This weeks highland walk took us up Ben Wyvis, Gaelic for hill of terror. it is in the top ten easiest Munro's to climb, but I think my legs will still be stiff tomorrow, It has an elevation of 1,046 m (3,432 ft) and the walk to the summit is 14 km which is about a 5 hour walk depending on fitness.
The walk starts straight off from the car park, be sure to get there early because the car park is small and it gets really busy.
Only once you get to this point you start to realize the size of this mountain, and its true beauty.
To the right we have Little Wyvis, another hill for another day.
Finally many stairs later we start to see the first summit
This becomes very misleading, thinking you have reached the top only to realize that there is still another couple of kilometers left to climb. The weather turned on us and unfortunately no nice views for more cool pics, so this is the final summit. The way down weather cleared and warmed up, you just cant make this stuff up.
Hopefully next weekend there will be clear skys , hope you like the pics
