Dash is doing something totally different. The two approaches are not even on the same level. Bitshares is also on another level than this implementation but no where near what Dash is working on. Both are just gimmicks compared to what Dash is implementing with Dash Drive. If the smartcash devs are honest they will tell you the same. It is better than nothing and hopefully just a starting point but please don't compare it to what Dash is doing.

I believe that any comparison between the cryptocurrencies is not only relevant, but also useful.
Undoubtedly #Dash makes very interesting and useful things in the field of cryptocurrency.
No less interesting things are done by #smartcash developers.
Competition and a free market play to the benefit of the end user.
But the last word, of course, is for the end user.
