3 Diamonds Illustration

Hello! How are you? I want to show you today another drawing inspired in steven universe, they are the 3 diamonds, commanders, queens, mothers. Each diamond have a different vision of how things should be, diamonds take care of each other. Yellow diamond is the strictest, will not hesitate to impose her word, does not tolerate insolence to her subordinates and much less to what for her are inferior beings. Blue diamond is the most emotional of diamonds, to the point that it has the ability to generate its own tears in the rest of the gems, including other diamonds, although it can be considered a little compassionate, blue diamond is a gem of principles and morals traditionalist, which is reflected in her displeasure at the idea of two gems of different kinds are merged. Both yellow and blue diamond, feel the loss of pink diamond who is supposedly killed by rose quartz. Pink Diamond was the youngest of diamonds, as the most of young beings had many doubts about the way of life and motivation of their elders, the feelings from her it is gaining force when she started to live in the planet earth, place where she start to see the life in a different way and that would change the course of her destiny. Without more to say here I leave the illustration and the step by step of it.

Step by step

• As always i started with a traditional sketch

• Now i make the digital lineart on paint tool sai

• From there i started to paint the base color of blue diamond, shading and paint the hair

• Then i paint the skin of pink and yellow diamond and its respective shadow and light

• Here you can see that i painted the blue and yellow diamond clothing and i start shading the clothing of pink diamond. the hair is done too

• They are already done! then i passed to photoshop cs6 and make the background.

• Programs used: Paint tool Sai and Photoshop CS6
