Today's Drawing: Mega Monster and Mother
I want to preface this post with a shout out to Steemit for existing and therefore causing a pouring out of my creative juices, and for @Slothicorn making it even juicier and supporting two of my most recent works! Also to the individuals who are beginning to become friends in my followers as well as those who upvoted and talked to me about my art! Thank you! The next piece I am doing will be soley for your use and I will be putting it in @creativecommons for public use! I have an idea involving dragons and raccoons! Stay tuned! This one is for one of my sisters @laurenbrindock who had her birthday yesterday and I wanted to do something special, it is her portrait so I am not sure she would want it for public use, but I will add if anyone wants to just ask, its very likely I and she will say YES! I also havent added a crypto wallet yet, but plan to for the next post! I am all for Slothicorn's mission of having cryptocurrency go mainstream through art and plan on helping, in fact last week I posted my art work on facebook and said my burst of creativity was through my journey so far on here on Steemit, and the fact that cryptocurrency being a possible benefit along with a huge base of people to talk to and work with(I think Steemit has close to a million users) from all over the world helped to make it such a attractive place to be.
Back to the recent portrait! I asked my nephew what magical creature he wanted to be and he said Mega Monster, a monster of his creation, and he sent me a drawing as reference for what he should look like :) I had SO much fun doing this peice, as you may be able to tell! Here is the full portrait, the above is a detail Here is the original photo I used as reference: The outline base drawing and now the fun!!! Details! This one was a blast and I hope you enjoy it Steemians!!! Have a lovely evening!
All Rights Reserved @mimulusamsterdam p.s. I want to add, I am having problems with the transfer of details from the painting program I am using(Artflow)and hope to have that clarified by my next post! Its a shame you just cant see everything I put into it, when you zoom in on this copy some of it is lost. But I have hope!
Looking good. Keep up the good work and don't stop creating :-)
You know as an artist yourself to hear those kind words, thanks so much!

Have fantastic day
Thank you!! Hope you have a lovely day as well!
Thanks
I love this D~ it's precious and priceless and your spin on us is perfect:)! Your nephew's already attached it to the underside of his bunk for adoring our monsterous powers as he floats off to dream land~ xo!!
Oh that is the best yay!! How womderful! So glad, hopefully one day we will come visit that bunk!
I'm assuming this is with water colors right? I just found your page through @Stellabelle and very excited to follow your art work. And i also love how Mega Monster is a nice monster and that he is smiling... Art work from children means a lot... it shows what is actually on their little minds and how they truly feel.... His spirit also speaks through his art..... I think it would be a great idea re create mega monster for him on a huge canvas lol so adorable great work !!!!!!!
Oh so glad you like it! This piece is done in a kindle art app called Artflow. I actually just downloaded the app just about the same time I became active on Steemit about two months ago. I am an artist who usually worked with paints, pens, crayons coal whatever is lying around, bit as the mother of a four year old until now found it hard to have space for all that "junk" lying around or the time to do it properly. This app has set this mommy free! the tools are pretty traditional despite being on a computer and all the blending is done with my fingers so far.
I have a special place in my heart for this piece as well, and it was wonderful to have my nephews work as my muse! looking forward to interacting with ye! The only negative I have found so far is the all the little details (each pixel put on with care) doesnt transfer as I have found so far.
