Hello @inquiringtimes, i'm seeing this weeks after you posted unfortunately, but firstly, great MYND video, and secondly, I really like the goals of Slothicorn! I'm not really a crytpo artist in the sense that I don't make art or imagery about crypto, and this has prevented me from joining slothicorn so far but I'd like to be involved regardless if there are ways I can contribute....curation, gathering people, creating catalysts for community, or whatever.
It would be great to have you as part of the collective. "gathering people, creating catalysts for community" I like the sounds of that. Obviously we need artists, but more than just people who create art, we really do need people who can help us to forward the vision of empowering artists in the crypto-community.
Slothicorn is beginning to make some waves out there in the world. Originally it was more specific to art about crypto, but some of the guidelines have been opened up so we can be inclusive to a wider range of artists. We are still in the process of refining our vision and the mission.
I see you have joined the discord server, so I'll catch up with you more over there :)
[edit] atually I was checking out some of your tilework, and it would be so incredible to see some of that made for various crypto projects :D
So stoked to have found Steemit as an artist! I actually recently got hired to write an article about the business side of being an artist for a magazine in NYC thanks to the publisher finding some of my Steemit posts. Not to mention making $ for sharing my art - even when no one buys any! Such an awesome platform, I try to tell every artist I know about it! A few of my artist friends have joined, @chrisdyer and @kaliptus are the most active :)
your comment reminded me that I didn't include a link for further information about Slothicorn. You may be interested in getting involved in the project. Edited to include the link :)
Wow crypto-art sounds about right !!! In other to understand extensively what cryptos are all about we need art and what better way to do that than slothicorn ., I can't wait to get on that slothicorn ship
Indeed, art was all that made Dogecoin worth real money... man, I got 10 at such a low price you wouldn't even image how rich I'd be if I would have bought 10,000... but an unofficial bitcoin clone with a dog picture and that nobody would use...
But it happened... of course memelords would make it happen for shits and giggles... I was naive.
I reshared Siimon Denny's educational video on Facebook- I have had alot of friends ask me about cryptocurrency that I did not have- this video relays it beautifully.
I'm really happy to be on Steemit as an artist. I think the potential is huge, and a great way to make some extra money- something artists could always use more of lol. So far through this site I've been commissioned to design an album cover and have won a few contests.
We are creating an event this march to present steemit through a real world contest for singer/songwriter. I believe its the best way to invite talented artists to the platform and also a way to promote steemit effectively.
I am a newbie in Steemit, and I'm interested in slothicorn since I a aspiring artist and I want to utilize my God given skill. I don't have someone to ask, is there any process of requirements in joining Slothicorn? Thank you so much for the anwers Sir. Godbless.
Make sure you read this post! and there are some other guidelines once you get to the discord. most important thing to remember is that slothicorn doesn't vote for every post that gets created in our tag. just not possible. if you come to the discord more advice can help you after your introduction post :)

Art is not a luxury - we NEED it. It's great that artists can actually get paid for their work here. Soul Food.

Seems the other tokens could learn a thing or two from doge

Yes, it would be great if @slothicorn could come up with a series that educate about crypto with such grace and style.
excellent and insightful article, you have been upvoted and resteemed by @slothicorn. Thank you! :)
thank you slothicorn!
