SLC S21W4 / Crochet Designs | Class 4: Make a Santa Claus in Open Ring.

This week's class looked easy but not so at all. I have managed to surpass the work and I present my homework task below. Although making this entry was a bit challenging due to poor network.

Since it's Christmas season, the Santa Claus crochet was an amazing experience. To get the ring opener, I had to buy a can food to be able to get the opener.

1 Fill the entire can opener ring with single crochet stitches following the guidelines shown in class. (2 points)

From watching the video, I was able to practice what was done. By using low points, I was able to cover the opener all round with my thread and needle. You can see it from the images above.

2 Make Santa Claus's beard following the guidelines given in class, supported by the example video. (2 points)

Starting the beard of the Santa, I made a chain of 5 points and had it introduced in the point of the previous lap, then having a sliding point. I continued this process to the next and until I finish all the lap.

3 Make the Santa Claus Hat following the guidelines given in class, supported by the example video. (2 points)

To make the hat, I continued with the same sequence of 5 point chains using a different yarn that has another color, being inserted at each of the points on the previous lap and I ended it with a sliding point. Looking at the sequence, it had a change when I reached the top where I increased to 6 stitch chains. Of these 6-pointed chains I made 3 which will be introduced in the following 3 points of the previous chain.

At the end of the 3 chains with 6 stitches, I continued with the sequence of 5 chains until I ended with a sliding point.

I was unable to upload my steps here due to network issues.

4 Make a string to hang the little Santa Claus on a coat rack and decorate his face. Be creative. (2 points)

To make the string, I started with a chain of 20 and then returned it to the next point below to close the stitches.

I finally added the eyes using a foam to get it done

5 Take a selfie with the finished work. (2 points)

The network was really terrible, I have managed to upload my work here. I hope my explanation is accepted.
