Real people skiing Kicking Horse Mountain in BC Canada

I knew we were in trouble on the gondola ride up as there were two young men chatting about hiking up higher while they adjusted their instant blow up avalanche back packs (naturally there is probably a fancy name for those but this was my first introduction to them sooo...). ughh, this is probably not going to go well.

We soon found out that there are very easy/simple runs lower down on the mountain and "scary as f*ck" runs at the top. Our skills sit somewhere in the middle.

Oh, and if you are not familiar with the snow world...that super crunchy/squeaky snow means it's also really cold out!

Happy to report that there is also a lovely restaurant that serves delicious food and alcohol. We lingered over lunch to delay the inevitable so that was really nice.
