Vancouver's North Shore powder days, winter 2016-2017
Hi steemians. Here are some pics from last winter in the North Shore mountains, about 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver. This city is an amazing mixture of parks, high rises and outdoors accessible in less than 30 minutes.
Winters are really snowy in the mountains of coastal British Colombia and these pictures will perfectly illustrate it.
The three main resorts in the North Shore registered a snow depth of more than 6 meters at an altitude of around 3608 feet (1100 meters).
Running on a snowshoe trail, Grouse mountain.
A frosen lake on the slopes of Cypress mountain, below the resort, in early December 2016.
Powder downhill session in Grouse Mountain.
Backcountry skiing on mount Seymour.
Snow on mount Seymour, April 2017.
