The total real time for the painting was about 70 min. This is consider a fast painting as these kind of concept art will take at least 2-4 hours to be completed. Even the detailling are not as delicate but i feel this is enough for a kickstart for me. This is my first attempt to do a concept art painting as i was always a big fan of it. Animated films such Finding Nemo, Lion King, Toys Story, Madagascar are some of those films that have these kinds of concept arts as one of the vital process to create the feels and the concept of the whole film.

I love them because they were usually rich in feelings and emotions to represent the mood of the scenes.

I started the piece with study of the dark and shadow values with tones of greys to make distinct the layers of the composition.

Then i included some overall details and colours to shape the forms.

And finally i finish them with detailing and the ambiance light and shadow to give the impact to the whole artwork.
