The drums are louder, the chants are higher, the change is inevitable, the Steem(it) in Nigeria event is here. For the first time, the Nigerian community comes out with a unified voice and a singular driving force: changing the face of the blockchain and cryptocurrency adoption in Nigeria. It is time for Nigeria and Africa to adopt the blockchain for good, it's numerous and endless possibilities are just too good to be left untapped and tapping into potentials is our hobby...The steem blockchain is just a force to be reckoned with!

These past few months, we have seen rapid growth in the blockchain/cryptocurrency space and I must say that this is highly welcomed considering the world has seen so much flops in its current financial system which should have had years of solidification by now. Compared to that system, the blockchain/cryptocurrency space (still in its infancy) has been an unstoppable force and has not just aimed, but has solved some of those problems including the need for so many fees of middle man and poor record keeping.

That is not to say the blockchain/cryptocurrency space is not without its own challenges,but compared to the growth and the time frame, we cannot but admit that the blockchain technology/cryptocurrency is revolutionary.

Enter the SIN movement

I must admit, when people hear the word "sin" they immediately get cringy and feel like this feels wrong. But, like I said at the very beginning, the idea is to give something which has an otherwise negative meaning a good vibe. We want to change the world, but like the saying goes; charity begins at home. We know that and truth be told, the home-front has indeed been charitable.

When we started, we knew the show must go on no matter what and that was not open for debate. However, we kept pushing to see how far we could push ourselves. To what extent? Challenges kept flying in from the left and the right but we kept overcoming. Right now, we are in the final laps and we must give a progress report and that is what we are here to do...

Over the past few days, we have been making some changes to the website, although we are not yet through with it, you can head on over and have a sneak peek at the progress so far on the website. The growth does not stop there, we have released the list of activities for the event.



We have three separate speaking events which have been structured in such a way that each even provides a proof of brain concept which shows us a uniqueness to each day and activity.
The first speaking event which is scheduled to hold on the 31st of October, is more of a blockchain roundtable discussion rebranded as a "state of the blockchain" event fashioned after the state of the union. The event will be a debate session and an exchange of opinion about blockchain and cryptocurrency related activities.

The second day which is a pre-conference will feature our indigenous speakers such as @nairadaddy, @fisteganos, @ogoowinner, @destinysaid and so many others.
The main conference on the 3rd of November will be a blast of the best of the best in the blockchain/cryptocurrency business in Nigeria.



These are some of the activies lined up for the event too.

First video of the printed ID card yet to be cased. We have so many communities lined up, willing to work together for a greater Nigeria and this could not have happened without their cooperation.
