Day number seven …
Afternoon everyone……
Today will be my seventh installment of the “Stackers Twelve Days of Christmas”.
In case you are new to this or maybe want to join in on the festivities. Here is how it works….
Each day you post a gift that you would like to receive for Christmas. It needs to be precious metal related to qualify. The items can be something you’d like from our silvergoldstackers Secret Santa. Or they could also be something that you really truly wish was a possible gift.
So……
On the seventh day of Christmas, I’m changing things up. I want an Engelhard of London vintage silver bar. I’ll go east on my Santa an pick a one hundred gram bar.
Engelhard is the oldest most well known refinery in the United States. But they were not limited to just the United States. They also had refineries in Australia, Canada, Germany and in London.
The only location that never produced product for sale was Germany. That facility never got 100% complete, prior to Engelhard being sold to BASF in 2006.
They are an original New Jersey company located out of Newark. They were the largest processor of silver in the world at the time. Processing silver tanks from Eastman Kodak. Who was the largest producer of photography film at the time.
Here is a picture of the bar from a current active listing on eBay.
