Gold and Silver Miners to rally in 2018??

Without a doubt 2017 has been the year for crypto currencies and the mining shares have been flat at best, even when we hit the $1300 gold price the shares generally did nothing. I guess it is hard to get excited about a potential 100% gain over a year when cryptos can return that overnight!

Despite being in the tax write off season and lower gold and silver prices there appears to be some signs of life in the gold and silver mining shares, I guess much will depend on the gold and silver price going into next year.

I will be keeping a close eye on the action in January, perhaps there could be a repeat of early 2016 when the shares moved ahead of the gold and silver prices?  There has been some market movement for sure in the past week.
