Silver Canadian dimes
I found these two dimes in a bag of random foreign coins. They are 80% silver worth $0.96 each. They are beautiful coins that represent two different eras of the country.
The first one has King George VI featured and is from 1950. He was on the coin during his reign from 1937- 1952, but in reality he became king at the end of 1936 but the minting didn’t start right away. The second dime has Queen Elizabeth II from its first year of production in 1953. She is still on the dime today but the design has changed 5 times and the metal has changed from silver to nickel.
