What's the best tag to use for precious metal blogs?
Consistency needed!
First of all, may I say what a good job the likes of @digestingreality @raybrockman @hisilverstacker ...et al are doing in helping to grow the Silver / Gold / Precious Metals community here on Steemit.
Yet for all their valiant efforts, we're still not making headway yet in terms of 'market share' here on Steemit. For anyone taking a quick glance at the most popular feeds will note the absence of Silver, Gold or Precious Metals tags within the most popular feeds.
Now it may well be that our numbers here on Steemit are still relatively small, but the other thing which may not be helping is lack of consistency with respect to the choice of tag used.
Pissing on the fire

It certainly doesn't help when a tag's been hijacked by the Crypto community, a prime example being 'mining' (hence pissing on our bonfires!). But are we also wasting our opportunity to make PM blogs more popular (and valuable) by not being consistent in our choices?
I'll give an example; If someone is talking about silver, should they tag #silver , #preciousmetals , #silverbug or #investing ? Hell, I'm even seeing #steemsilvergold !
Consensus needed
It is not my intention to say which tag I think is most appropriate. However, I think it would be really worthwhile if people could share their opinion with regards to this as I think might help to make all our blogs earn more money!

Honestly I've been posting under different ones..steemsilvergold, silver and gold, precious metals but I'm not getting any looks anyways. Were just a very small niche. Only stackers and coin collectors are gonna be interested in a bunch of charts or stories about gold and silver. It's definately not a mainstream kinda thing. Maybe it would be better to all post under the same but what do I know? I'm fairly new on steem. Thx for the post!

It is quite frustrating to talk about something that matters to you but not having a large audience.
I'm guessing that as a % of the population, there's only a tiny fraction of us. I'm actually very surprised as I honestly thought that this was changing.

I have signed up and am blogging about silver stacking. I feel your guys pain that there is not alot of us on here. Its early days and we have time to grow. I also look forward to seeing future posts.

I use all of those along with "realmoney". I know most people on Steemit are cyrpto focused and may not even know about precious metals because it is so manipulated. I think that if we stick together and support one another the precious metals area will grow!

It's a good community of people on SteemIt who share common interests in the common sense idea that it is better to hold your wealth in hard assets, not paper FIAT. It covers everything silver, but also gold and cryptos. Other members of the community will assist with an upvote and sometimes resteem your posts.

I always use money news gold silver, I think the real key is to have like minded followers who then support each other.
I like steamsilvergold. It makes it unquie to the community on here.

I've spotted a number of these recently but wasn't sure where it came from. I just had concerns that if we keep using different tags (The first tag is where the blog goes to) that it dilutes the blogs potential earning power.

Is there any update on the palladium coin from the US mint? I can't find anything. I thought it was suppose to come out this year.
No, afraid I've not heard any more. Palladium is looking a little pricey vs platinum at present - buyer beware!!!
I'm one of the few here that enjoy reading posts about silver. I think to have your post get more visibility, you have to have a pretty high rep, number of subscribers, and maybe even paying for a promotion. I think the silver tag makes sense, so I would certainly use that in each post.
