Millions of lives in danger due to rising heat

A study showed that high humidity coupled with
high temperature will endanger millions of lives
across the Indian subcontinent by the end of
this century. However, the Indian Meteorological
Department does not regard humidity as a
character of heat waves. That said, temperature,
that doesn't fit into IMD's definition of heat
waves, when combined with high humidity, does
pose a risk to human lives.
