Floods devastate Kaziranga National Park
The flood that has hit the Kaziranga National
Park in Assam has had a devastating effect
on the park ecosystem. As many as 15 Indian
rhinos, 185 deer and at least one tiger have been
killed in the floods. Hundreds of animals have
fled the park due to the rising water. Floods have
caused large-scale destruction in many parts of
North India in terms of both property and human
life.
