Stay at the Beach

Everyday I try to stay at the beach where everything is beautiful. I wrote a little story to explain it. Hope you enjoy it. :)

Stay at the Beach

In the Land of Reciprocity there was a person named You. You received an invitation to attend a banquet on Humble Beach. You joined the attendees taking shuttles to the beach. On the bus the guide talked about the area. Humble beach was beautiful, clean, modest and unassuming. Right next to Humble Beach was Notoriety Hill. The guides explained to your group that all arrangements had been made for your enjoyment at Humble Beach.

When You arrived, You noticed that Humble beach was very modest. There were a variety of covered stations with various materials and supplies where people could build and create things. Umbrellas, chairs and tables were set up along the beach where You could relax and enjoy the view. There were winding walking paths. A beautiful banquet had been set up under a grand tent. There was a large variety of foods there, some that You loved and others that You had never tried.

Walking along Humble Beach You heard a few of the guest talking about Notoriety Hill. Everyone knows about Notoriety Hill. It is the biggest dung hill ever. It fascinated many people and tours were given to view and discuss the dung that many famous people had there and also the historical dung that had been scandalous in decades and centuries gone by. Notoriety Hill was huge and constantly getting bigger. Everyday new dung came in to be analyzed and discussed. Occasionally a person might find their own dung there and cover it up quickly, or the very interesting dung of someone they knew. Notoriety Hill was always a fascinating excursion.

When they arrived most of the guest wanted to get a peek at Notoriety Hill. Once they saw it they were so amazed at the sight of Notoriety Hill that they flocked to it. A very few preferred the quiet pristine waters and natural beauty of Humble beach.
You received a basket and went to humble beach. Once there You looked around. It was calm but it did not appear as interesting as Notoriety Hill. You looked in the direction of Notoriety Hill and thought, how often to You get to see that. If You don’t go now You may not get the chance to go again. What would You do?

You decided to take a peak at Notoriety Hill and took a tour to see the interesting dung of the rich and famous. It was huge. You didn’t know such a large hill of people’s dung existed. You played it safe only investigating a small amount of the dung of people You had seen on television, in movies, and one or two from the history books.

After making your interesting examination of the dung. You walked back toward Humble Beach to get something at the banquet. As You were about to enter in the attendants came to You apologizing, they said You couldn’t enter. You explained that You had an invitation. “That’s true, we know,” they said, “but, it’s your clothes.” “What?” You said indignantly.

Looking at your clothes You saw that they were a little stained on the inside near the cuffs. The outside looked very nice clean and pristine, but the inside was a little stained. You looked at the stains slight and small You could make out that there were tiny flecks of dung sticking to the hem and cuffs of Your clothes. You shuddered to see this because it was filthy and disgusting. How were You going to eat when even though You washed your hands your cuffs had dung on them? You were very sad.

That’s how You learned to stay at the beach, because when You concern yourself with people’s dung You will miss the banquet life has for You.
