London's ultra-orthodox Jewish proxy police force, the Shomrim

London's ultra-orthodox Jewish proxy police force, the Shomrim.

In 2008 groups of Jews in London set up "Shomrim", a not-for-profit  volunteer "security" organisation which patrols London streets on foot  and in vehicles, particularly areas of London with large Jewish communities like Golders Green and Stamford Hill.

Shomrim have some official collaborations with organisations like CAA (Campaign Against Antisemitism). CAA has recently been harassing people like Alison Chabloz for singing sartirical songs about the holocaust and pushing for criminal prosecutions just because they don't like what she's saying. This group has no respect for freedom of speech,  always pushing for censorship and punishment for people exercising their  freedom of speech, especially people who are willing to brave speaking critically of the (((tribe))).

The Shomrim are also collaborating with the Jewish Police Association which obviously gives them an inappropriately close  tie for a religious group to have with a state police force, in my  opinion, especially as a racial / religious supremecist attitude would  lead to lots of clashes with people from other backgrounds in the multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-racial areas in which the Shomrim are patrolling.

The Jewish Police Association is in direct contact with Benjamin Netanyahu's government in Israel, through their association with Mark Regev, the Israeli ambassador to the UK and former chief spokesperson for Benjamin Netanyahu. They are also connected to the top levels of British politics, through ties to pro-Israel groups such as the Conservative Friends of Israel and the Labour Friends of Israel, two of the biggest lobbying organisations in Westminster.

In areas of London where Shomrim operate, Jews are still a small-ish minority. Inevitably, Jews will clash with people from other religious groups from time to time, especially those Jews with a more supremecist attitude towards Gentiles. It is completely unacceptable that this religious minority gets superior treatment by the police, but that's exactly what's happening. It's time for Londoners to ask: "is it appropriate to have religious proxy police operating in London with such ties to the regular police?" I would say that it's not appropriate at all, and that this organisation needs to be folded immediately.
