Not a single one of them was actually voting my witness!!
I checked them all very carefully at https://steemd.com and this site is up to date (not showing day old data)
Look how long that list is!!!! It's blowing my mind, like 90% of my "fan" base is a total sham, jeez.
One can support your witness without voting it.
Um..yea, sure, and I can shout encouraging words to a drowning man without throwing him a life preserver, yep.
You don't have to vote my witness to be my fan.
I just want to be clear about that. But, don't claim to vote or support my witness and then end up not doing it.
If you are new and don't really understand how Witnesses work, then maybe you should just refrain from posting about it until you understand.
If you are posting what you see others doing to get some money, that's clueless and dishonest.
If your name shows up above, you are off my nice list, and I've unvoted many dollars from your posts.
The good news is that I can give my much smaller, true fan base more generous votes and love. I'm going to take that Shame list with me everywhere I go and make sure I never vote any of them again.

I'm new joiner here. when i join ar steemit, i see that people's talk about you. always people's are post that my witbess neoxian, my witness neoxian. i thought they choose you that's why they post like that. i thought i choosing you & i also say that my witness @neoxian sir. believe me still i think that you are my witness but i do't know its make by a vote. Sorry for that. I have knowledge gap about steemit. still i don't know more thing about steemit just trying to learning from you sir. still you think that i'm a wrong & i'm your fake fan then it was my unsuccess career here. but honestly said i was right. thanks to you for show up my wrong idea.

Hey @neoxian, you can add direct witness link on your post - maybe just below your signature (footer). That way some less tech savvy people will able to click it and join themselves as your witness. I hope the shame-list people can take a lesson from it.

Even though your suggestion is good I guess it won't changes much. Those people are in my opinion mainly after upvotes. They most likely saw @neoxian upvoting a true fans post and though they will get it to. Everybody writing now they did not know how to vote for witnesses are straight up lying. There is no way they can start a computer and log in to steemit but aren't able to find out how to vote for witness (since it is basically 2 clicks). And if they didn't really knew how to do it in advance it's about a 10 second search to one of the many "how to vote for witness guides" out there. If they had any intention or compassion to do it, they would have done it.
