The Britannia was situated at 232 Cable Street. This former Taylor Walker Brewery pub had been present by 1839. In the 1980s it was pretty much a typical working class boozer, notable for still having a London Fives dart board. It had closed by July 1996. It seems like the premises are now in private residential use ....
