Sgoti's Law
So, I started one of these things they call a #hashtag
--- #steemit Front-End Request (allow for image pop-up on mouseover of hashtag)
while you're at it, preview external links as a thumbnail or something?
--- Pardon me while I google markup so I can figure out how to do quotes further down
--- teal on white, really? I can't tell you how fkin invisible the resteem icon is...
called #sgoti
I didn't bother to check if anyone else was already using it, because I use words like #memejack and know that "black lives matter" is a blanket to cover in the internet conversation that happens regarding the bureau
It stands for "Some guy/gal on the internet", and in the initial wave serves as a replacement for "anonymous" in fancy meme quotes. For example, if you don't want to associate yourself with a pink mafia of Indian-Oregonian Cultists but you liked what he said:
Respect yourself, love yourself, because there has never been a person like you and there never will again. - #sgoti
Sgoti's Law
A space between the tag and object makes it a headline, zoom out a bit - #sgoti
Sgoti's Law is that by invoking the #sgoti tag you're implying "I don't care who said it, it sounded true enough for me to make my own". Using the best turn of phrase to talk about a thing is close enough to using a pleasing set of sounds to pronounce a word, and copyright is a thing we did before the global human social-memory-complex #noosphere came online.
Highly rEsteemed!
