The Premier League is back!!! Fantasy Gameweek 1 review- Captain Picks and one's to watch
Hello all you beautiful premier league fantasy players!
Today marks the return of the long awaited BPL season and boy is it bound to be a super exciting one! The BPL still boasts the greatest managers in the world with new additions Sarri and Emery to the ranks of the so called top 6.
Without further delay let's get into it!
One's to watch
Sergio Aguero - The Argentine showed exactly why he's one of the most lethal strikers the premier league has seen at last weeks community shield bagging a brace. Now he may fall to Pep's rotation but with strong early fixtures after Arsenal i think it might be about 4 Gameweeks before the rotation starts. Priced at 11M i think Aguero could be a strong early starter.
Mo Salah - Last seasons top scorer already has more than 50% ownership from fantasy managers. He's look sharp in preseason. The only issue is the steep price tag of 13M, however, he does provide a very consistent captaincy option. Sadio Mane might be a better alternative at 9.5M but the risk is very great not to have the Egyptian King in your team.
Richarlison - the brazilian winger has been reunited with old boss Marco Silva at Everton, during his time under Marco Silva he bagged 5 Goals in 12 games also boasting the 2nd most shots from within the box only behind the Egyptian King Mo Salah. It's worth a note that he has had a long rest and should be fresh for the season ahead. He's inconsistency may prove that he needs to be replaced a little down the line.
Captain Picks
Mo Salah - Looking past the Egyptian king for the opening gameweek might be very foolish considering his ownership and impressive Liverpool preseason. With 50% ownership if he does the job, you will already fall behind for the season.
Virgil Van Dyk - Liverpools commanding center half looks to be the key in Liverpools resurged defence. The game against West Ham at Anfield could provide a clean sheet as the the new Hammers team will still need time to gel. If the big guy comes up with a set piece goal, 15 points could be on the cards.
Alexis Sanchez- The Chilean has had a long break and not affected by the world cup, he was quiet in the 17/18 season but could be resurged in the new season with a point to prove. at 10.5M he could be a key as he was 16/17's top fantasy scorer!
Goodluck to everyone!
Enjoy the season!
