Experts Have Revealed The Ideal Number Of Sexual Partners You Should Have

New research has revealed that age old question of how many people you should have sex with and ten is the magic number, apparently.

Researchers have made the claim, after more than 1,000 people took part in an online survey for Britain’s biggest cheating site, IllicitEncounters.com, being asked how many lovers they would want a new partner to have had.

Between eight and 12 was the most popular answer, with 38 per cent of women and 37 per cent of men going for this. Within that group, both sexes agreed that 10 was pretty much perfect.

The poll also suggests those who have had more than that are considered ‘sexually transient’, while having fewer than 10 would be considered as inexperienced.

Not too surprisingly, it also revealed men are more wary of women who had a higher total than 10 and any number above 20 was considered a bit of a turn off.

They were also asked if they wanted to know how many people their new partner had been with in the past. 35 per cent of women said they wanted to know a man’s sexual history, while 30 per cent of men wanted to know a woman’s total.

A spokesman for IllicitEncounters.com, Christian Grant, said:

The dating game is changing so quickly. I think we are all becoming a lot more tolerant and sexually adventurous. If we had conducted this poll ten years ago, men would have expected a potential partner to have slept with far fewer people.

I don’t know how seriously we can take these figures, considering those who answered are all apparently looking for a bit on the side…
