Japanese Women and Why You Should Avoid Them – Japan’s Dirty Relationship Secret

Japanese women, in my opinion, are some of the most attractive women in the world. If you have average success with women at home, you’re going to be a stud in Japan. Now if you’re just visiting and will be heading back home, no worries. But if you’re like many of my friends, you’ll get hooked on Japan. One of those relationships suddenly turns serious and wedding bells chime.

But let me give you some warnings my friends and I didn’t get while we were dating Japanese women. Nearly 50% of married couples report themselves as sexless. Sexless! It’s an insane concept considering the courtship you’ll most likely go through.

Worse still, divorce rates are also around 50%, higher for couples where one partner is not a Japanese national. And when you have kids, the real heartbreak starts. The Japanese divorce laws are not very well developed. The system and decisions are biased in favor of Japanese nationals. And the courts have zero enforcement power for entered decisions.

Common practice for divorce in Japan is for the husband or the wife to leave the house with the kids in tow. And the left behind parent has no recourse to see the kids. Generous arbitration offers for the left behind parent to meet with the kids are once a month. And that’s generous. More likely, one parent will gain custody of the kids and the other parent will never see their son(s) or daughter(s) again.

If you’re not accustomed to this system, it comes as a complete shock. You’ll try to visit the home where the children are staying, and the police will be called. If you’re still married, the police will kindly escort you away. If the divorce is finalized, the police, and I’ve experienced this, take you to the police station, print and photograph you, and keep you until someone who can vouch for you comes to pick you up.

Getting a lawyer is an expensive process and in the end, really makes no difference. As I mentioned before, court orders are not enforced. So even if you were to somehow get a favorable decision, the police will not enforce the court decision and simply escort you home or to the police station again.

From the perspective of the abducting parent, they are much in the same boat. They can’t afford to let the other parent visit with the children and then disappear with them. They then will have to attempt to use the same court system which can’t enforce any decision. So abducting is not enough. The abductor has to keep the other parent away.

I’ve just outlined it briefly, so you can stick this little nugget of knowledge in your head for future reference. For years many of my friends and I have gone through incredible heartache and were completely lost because we didn’t know these dirty little secrets on relationships in Japan.

Not trying to be sexist, I wrote this with younger guys in mind. I’ve met with several foreign and Japanese women going through the same terrors. So protect yourself by reading more on the subject if you find yourself attracted to a Japanese. And that doesn’t matter where in the world the relationship is taking place. Japanese embassies have a habit of suddenly issuing passports so their citizens can return home with their kids. Japan is always ranked in the top 5 for worldwide cross-border abductions.

Just be careful. If you’re like me, you can’t imagine a relationship with sex. And losing contact with your kids is like a dagger to the heart.
