Love 101: Sexual Chemistry

I don't know if we have it. When my boyfriend and I have sex, he takes control which I like but it's too rough for me and I don't enjoy it. It's like he approaches sex like porn and it turns me off. How can I tell him?

I have heard this issue discussed by many women, afraid that their partners are performing sex, and not having sex for pleasure. Always be honest with what you like in regards to sex. If it hurts and doesn't leave you pleased, you have to communicate that.Your sex life is your responsibility and sex, while necessary for procreation, should always be enjoyed.

Talk to him, perhaps show him pornography that you enjoy. There is a growing movement of female pornography makers that are making "pretty porn". They want to boost the self esteem of women and get away from the punishment porn that has seemed to permeate the market. Perhaps he would be open to a teachable moment ;). Offer resources and always make sure your sex life leaves you feeling sexy, confidence and pleasured.
