Guide to the Sex trade in Thailand
Thailand, a country know for its vast tourism, manufacturing & agricultural industries.
However, in this article we shall discuss about another important industry which in essence thrives off the ever growing human need to reproduce. Of course we are talking about the infamous Thailand's 'Sex' trade.
Thailand has been the prime destination of holiday goers eager to satisfy their sexual lust for many decades. Most men will desire to visit Thailand for their bachelor's party with their friends due to the vast availability of not only cheap alcohol, but also the vast availability of "Sex workers" in the country.
The most popular destination to have some fun in my opinion would be in Pattaya which is only a short drive from the city of Bangkok (afew hours drive). Pattaya offers much more than just a night out of booze, partying & sex. If one fancies, one may also endulge in the many tourist destinations around the area from sunny beaches to cultural shows & entertainment.
Anyway, back to business.
As i said, there are many areas where men can satisfy their needs but it is the preference of the author to say that Pattaya is my choice of destination.
Food & Accommodations can range from as low as THB 1000 upwards of THB20000. There is a range to suit every budget.
When it comes to looking for some 'action' these are the general list of the different types you may encounter on your journey
- go-go bars
- beer bars
- short-time bars
- massage parlors
- soapy massage parlors
- escort and freelancers
Typically at the bars, you will find hordes of ladies performing, dancing & having a good time in skimpy and alluring outfits.
These girls typically are trained to sweet talk their customers in to buying drinks (at premium prices). You have a 50/50 chance of scoring a lady friend from these parlours but of course at a cost! They are working girls after all.
If partying isnt your thing, you may opt for the more relaxing option of getting a massage or soapy massage.
A soapy massage is generally the same as a regular massage but it involves alot of soap ;)
It starts off with you choosing your masseuses, getting in to a private room and getting a regular massage firstly.
Nearing the end of the session, your lady will ask you if you want any ahem 'additional services' it is during this time your negotiation skills come in to play. not only do you have to negotiate with the lady, but you also have to fend off the urges of over paying while being sexually aroused by her.
A soapy massage is generally action from the start till the end ;P.
Prostitutes and freelancers are generally straight to the point action for a fee.
May also range from cheap to expensive, depending on the quality of the girl you choose.
However, it is discouraged to grab a cheap score off the streets (No matter how hot they look) as they are normally riddled with STDs and are prohibited from working in more established locations. In most 'Gentlemans clubs', the ladies are screened for STDs often, so that might offer some peace of mind for some people.
Remember that in Thailand, you can negotiate when it comes to anything! so negotiate the hell out of your prices and practice safe sex at all times!

Please bear in mind that very few of these women actually want to work in the sex trade. They do so because they and their families live in dire poverty.
