The Age of The Sex Robot Is Upon Us

Yes...this can be quite an uncomfortable conversation for some people to have, but soon it WILL go mainstream, and WILL be discussed. With new technology comes new opportunities I guess...

Lets Dive in and see what's going on.

First off, let's get one thing straight. The robot in the picture at the top of this post looks nothing like what the sex robots being worked on today look like. They look a little more like this...

LOL, no thank you! - just my humble opinion.
This train is moving forward regardless of what people think, and will be a massive industry. As of now, sex robots are an intense focus point in the robotics and artificial intelligence industry. Some robots, such as Roxxxy, already sell for almost $10,000 or more. Some of these robots can even speak, sense touch, sense motion, have conversations, and change personalities. Douglas Hines, the CEO of True Companion hopes and believes that Roxxxy will one day be a self learning companion to combat the loneliness that many people face today. This new industry doesn't just serve female robots by the way. It also serves male robots with male genitalia.

Some people even believe that the rise of sex robots could put a halt to human trafficking and prostitution as we know it. One person who believes this is Ian Yeoman. He is an Associate Professor at the Victoria Management School in Wellington, New Zealand. Others believe that companionship with sex robots could be absolutely detrimental to human relationships. I guess we will just have to see in the near future.
