Seven-Eleven Japan also entered the doughnut market. |

Seven-Eleven Japan announced on April 2 that it will start selling doughnuts by the cash register counters on April 3. The company will launch the product at stores in Tokyo, Chiba, and Saitama prefectures, and aims to expand nationwide. Seven used to offer doughnuts but withdrew in 2017. They decided to re-enter the market because of the expected demand in the future, especially among young women and children, and it is good to see them trying again.
