Lingcod are one of the largest fish in the Pacific Northwest, they may not be the prettiest but they are sure fun to photography. Their colourful skin and fantastic patterns on their bodies make for both a striking black and white images as well colour ones.

I would say they have unusual, stubby whiskers. I wonder what they are used for, if anything unusual?
The whiskers that your are referring to are actually a type of parasite. They cling on to the fish at an early age and can kill juvenile fish.
They sure taste good too. Amazing photo's!
Hey @scottdphoto , what's the name of this fish ?
Lingcod, Ophiodon elongatus. They are the largest members of the Greenling family.

he was one of my instructors and an amazing underwater photographer... I remember the eye of a puffer fish that made me think about a galaxy!
I feel that the colorful fish belongs to the real world and the fish without colors belongs to the world parallel to our world from the other side in darkness.
Wow. Both images are amazing.
I can't really decide if I like the colour one or the black and white.
Wow awesome
These fish have the same color as leopards. Handsomely!
So you are saying that the fish is both beautiful and not beautiful ;). Either way it is cool!
