Walking around Seoul (1)
In this posting, I will introduce some images of Seoul.
I hope these will be helpful to them who are interested to visit this city.
I was born and grew up in Seoul, but I leaved this city a long time age and since then I have been living in wandering here and there. So I feel myself somewhat snug but also curious and sometimes unfamiliar when I walking around Seoul.
get started walking at Seoul Station, the central station of Seoul.
on the pedestrian overpass, the old main southern gate of Seoul (Namdaemun) comes into sight.
Pedetrian overpass crosses over the wide main street and leads to Namdaemun Market and Hoehyung-dong.

Hoehyun-dong, an old street leading to Namsan Mountain.
One of the odest apartment buildings in Seoul remains in Hoehyung-dong.
The earlier National Library building on Namsan Mountain.
In Namsan Park, there remain many architectures in 1970's . They reflect the Korean independece movement against japanese imperialism, but in terms of artistic style they reflect also the political and cultural ideology in 1970's South Korea.
Underground shopping area is not crowded and looks as if time stood still.
Korean cold noodles, originated in style from Pyungyang (currently capital of North Korea).

Now, driving in Seoul is not so easy.
