Steemit SEO Guide - How to rank on Google
Steemit articles index incredibly fast, in fact I use Steemit to help get my Infobunny articles indexed. My record for getting an article indexed from Infobunny is 9 minutes. There is no doubt in my mind that Steemit holds some pretty cool Google Trust (TrustRank) and when your site has been given this magical thinks can happen. If you then mix in some SEO you have a winning combination.
So here is how you apply some on-page SEO to your Steemit articles
Familiarise yourself with the Markdown Guide.
Ghost.Org also has a very good guide for your reference as well.
It is the Markdown styling that allows you to do all the things that Google loves.
Set your article up like a Newspaper article
You need a Headline and then Sub-Headlines.
The title of an article here on Steemit automatically becomes a H1 headline. You only need one H1 headline so make any headlines after this H2 and H3
Adding Images
When you upload an image to Steemit make sure that the image has a keyword based name so that Google can crawl the page find the image and know what it is about. Your find that your images will then show up in Google Images. This will give your posts a traffic boost
Steemit SEO Guide - Linking out
Google is all about the user experience. When someone searches and falls onto your page that's great. The bigger question is have they found exactly what they are looking for? Linking out to relevant information and resources continues the flow of information as the user clicks through. It also shows Google that you know what you're talking about and that the information that you provide is researched or how would you know where to point a visitor to continue the user experience?

Internal Linking
There are occasions when you may have written something within Steemit that is relevant to a new article that you are writing. This is an opportunity to keep visitors on your pages longer and to also again show Google that you are also about the continuation of the flow of information and the user experience. If also shows Google your other articles that you tend to see as important, CornerStone Content as Yoast SEO refers to it in their What is cornerstone content? article.
Make keywords within your articles BOLD
Bolding certain words or phrases tells the reader that these words are key within the article
You can also use Italics for quotes or phrases.

Your article Title becomes by default your link. So how is it that the title of this article is My Steemit SEO Guide - How to rank on Google when my link phrase is Steemit SEO Guide?

What are the different choices for post rewards (50%/50%, Power Up 100%, Decline Payout)?
50%/50% - This rewards in half STEEM Power, and half liquid STEEM / Steem Dollars. The ratio of liquid STEEM to Steem Dollars rewarded is based on network conditions at the time of payout. This is the default payout option.
Power Up 100% - This option rewards the post in 100% STEEM Power.
Decline Payout - Use this option to receive no post rewards. Votes will affect the post's position on the trending ranking but no rewards are paid from Steem's reward pool. Replies made to the post are still eligible for rewards.
