Which Way Is Up?
As a 26 year old college drop out I find myself on a see-saw in so many different aspects in my life. Spirituality v. Religion. Following my dream v. Continuing running the rat race we call a 9 to 5. Hell, even deciding what I want to eat in the morning comes with careful deliberation. There always seems to be a good reason why choice A should be considered over choice B and vice versa. Many would say, and when I say many I mean baby boomers and those well beyond middle aged, that I am young and indecisive, but I believe it is deeper than that. I believe that my lack of assuredness is shared with many of my millennial compadres. Having seen what past generations have gone through with being so sure of what they want, and often times that very thing had nothing to with them but their parents or their neighbors or someone who really didn’t give a damn about them but moreso that the status quo was being maintained, it can be scary to be so courageous to decide for yourself what is best for you.
