LOVE - DIVINE DISCOVERY - 23 of the 40 Rules of Love - SHAMS AND RUMI
Artist Luke Brown
Rule 23 of Shams 40 Rules of love:
The human being has a unique place among God’s creation. "I breathed into him of My Spirit," God says. Each and every one of us without exception is designed to be God’s delegate on earth. Ask yourself, just how often do you behave like a delegate, if you ever do so? Remember, it falls upon each of us to discover the divine spirit inside and live by it.
Shams of Tabriz
Is not this discovery the greatest of all, the most important and the most worthy?

Some continued information into the story of Shams of Tabriz and Rumi:
SHAMS; The Wandering Dervish, Religious Rebel, Spiritual Power House
It is said that Shams was in his sixties when he met Rumi when their companionship began. At this time of his life he was known to be blunt and antisocial, poor and a powerful mystic and spiritual wanderer. Nicknamed The Bird, because he couldn't stay in one place for too long. It is also said that it had been reported he had been known to be in two distant cities at the same time, suggesting something not for the Mind, maybe something only understood from the heart of a sage.
Rumi it is said was a charming, wealthy nobleman, a genius theologian, law professor and a brilliant but sober scholar, who in his late thirties met a wandering and wild holy man by the name of Shams. In Rumi's own words, after meeting Shams he was transformed from a bookish, sober scholar to an impassioned seeker of universal truth and love.
