RE: Fight for Digital Privacy Rights Continue in Tech-Focused California
Is ignoring privacy just too lucrative for big-data tech companies? I suppose only those with really strong ethical convictions will step forward to do the right thing.
When will people realize that by giving away their data now will negatively impact them for decades to come?
Personal data and the profiles that can be derived are very valuable. For many companies it is a profit potential they just can't accept walking away, even if it hurts their customers and stockholders in the future.
