Allows detection of malware and vulnerabilities in any kind of website including platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento and vBulletin. To use it just enter a URL in www.gravityscan.com and wait for the results of the scanner, it is not necessary to register although if we do, we will have access to a panel with more options:
In addition to looking for scripts and foreign code in the source code, check if the sites are blacklisted, spam, malicious redirects, phishing pages, defacements and vulnerabilities in web applications.
This type of tools are very useful to start cleaning infected websites, because quickly and easily identify scripts and suspicious codes. Although they are not 100% effective since the code that they analyze is the rendering by the navigator.
However, they have also launched another free tool called Gravityscan Accelerator that can be installed on the server for analysis "from the inside". It is very simple to install, just upload a .php file to the root and launch the scan from your website.
The advantage of this Accelerator is that it allows scanning for malware and vulnerabilities much more deeply by being able to read all files directly from the server.

the scanner looks intresting but what's the difference to e.g. https://www.virustotal.com/ from Google? Do they have an API for developers to extend their applications?
