Two Factor Authentification everywhere
I read today an article on the Verge (https://www.theverge.com/2017/6/17/15772142/how-to-set-up-two-factor-authentication) about Two-Factor-Authentification and was wondering if this is really the future of security replacing our username-password-combinations, we still use in all kinds of other apps, tools, etc.
I think it kind of interesting, how we are more and more faced with the usage of Two-Factor-Authentification. I am a bit of a non-tech-savvy person trying to be more savvy, and seem to find it from a usability perspective quite hard to always use the smartphone and wait for a verification code coming it. From an user point of view sometimes even waiting minutes before you can login into your account definitely kills the buzz and I tend to sometimes get frustrated to get up my fat ass and go and look for my mobile phone, which I might have put down next to fridge (where I am usually quite often to find :-)), to log in in to my Amazon or Bitstamp account.
...but maybe it is just me.
I would be quite curious, what other trends are out there and if this is really the future of how we are going to log in in all our accounts. I'll try to research a bit and try to write my findings down.
