The Second Amendment, white supremacy, guns.
Even the most cursory glance at history and current arrest and incarceration rates indicates that it is not the Second Amendment that is an example of white supremacy and racial repression, but the long history of gun control and related regulations. If you want more regulations, imagine them being written and enforced not by a magical rainbow-farting unicorn of your imagination, but Cheeto Mussolini and his band of white nationalists. They fit right into the historical narrative about the use of gun control as a tool to control people of color.
Also: if you are really serious about ending gun violence, especially against people of colour, you should first and foremost be protesting the War on Drugs and the collapse of the Fourth Amendment, as well as the militarisation of the police, not taking away the means of self-defence from the potential victims [of Drug War-related violence, to clarify].
This is what it means to want to repeal the Second Amendment. It's a very good question: what are you folks waiting for?
"A Second Amendment without the supposedly pernicious Heller “interpretation” wouldn’t be any impediment to regulation at all. It would be a dead letter. It would be an effective repeal. It would be the end of the right itself. In other words, it would be exactly what you want! Man up. Put together a plan, and take those words out of the Constitution.
This will involve hard work, of course. You can’t just sit online and preen to those who already agree with you. No siree. Instead, you’ll have to go around the states — traveling and preaching until the soles of your shoes are thin as paper. You’ll have to lobby Congress, over and over and over again. You’ll have to make ads and shake hands and twist arms and cut deals and suffer all the slings and arrows that will be thrown in your direction. You’ll have to tell anybody who will listen to you that they need to support you; that if they disagree, they’re childish and beholden to the “gun lobby”; that they don’t care enough about children; that their reverence for the Founders is mistaken; that they have blood on their goddamn hands; that they want to own firearms only because their penises are small and they’re not “real men.” And remember, you can’t half-ass it this time. You’re not going out there to tell these people that you want “reform” or that “enough is enough.” You’re going there to solicit their support for removing one of the articles within the Bill of Rights. Make no mistake: It’ll be unpleasant strolling into Pittsburgh or Youngstown or Pueblo and telling blue-collar Democrat after blue-collar Democrat that he only has his guns because he’s not as well endowed as he’d like to be. It’ll be tough explaining to suburban families that their established conception of American liberty is wrong. You might even suffer at the polls because of it. But that’s what it’s going to take. So do it. Start now. Off you go."
The U.S. is a military and economic empire functioning on the use of violence. Everything from the promotion of guns, military, war on drugs ... all based on domination. The U.S. just enjoys perpetuating the antagonisms of having terrorists and refueling cold war schisms with Russia and China to feed the corpo-industrial war machine... and feed the world more guns

I just feel that the gun laws are just a little too liberal. At the very least... no guns at supermarkets. Minors should not have any access to them. Anyway. The debate continues. By the way, people will use anything in the white supremacy and monopoly debate, whether these points are valid or not. Sad story
Most supermarkets here in Texas have a sign forbidding either open carry or concealed carry or both, as the business sees fit to best serve their customers. The signs carry the force of law, and a harsh penalty.

To bring any kind of change in society you have to step on people's toes and as such the catalyst of change is almost always hated by the current generation. It's only the subsequent generations with the benefit of hindsight who appreciate the work done.

Very excellent piece! What is interesting to watch is that their latest thing is to turn that history on its head, now they claim that it's not the blatantly racist gun control laws that are racist, they claim the problem is not that the poor and minorities are disenfranchised, they complain that white men are enfranchised! Now they are doing their studies and such to "prove" that owning guns is racist, something bad only evil white men would do.
