The Royal Government has decided to carve out the 32nd SEA Games at the Victory Monument as historical evidence for future generations.
General Nem Sovath, Special Adviser to Samdech Pich Sena Tea Banh and Director General of the General Department of Politics and Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of National Defense stated that: “To celebrate the values ​​and great success of the 32nd SEA Games, with the recommendations and guidance of Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, the construction team of the Victory Monument conducted a study plan to carve out the 32nd SEA Games at the Victory Monument to prove the great and glorious history of Cambodia, to all generations, both inside and outside the country, under the international stage under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia .

General Nem Sovath continued that for the project of consideration for this event, there will be sculptures on the meaning and identity of the SEA Games, images and the content of key slogans approved by the CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC Committee will be considered to be a sculpture on the stone, highlighting the valuable slogans of Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, such as the slogan “Sports live in peace” “Peace for all of us” “All for peace” .

In addition, General Nem Sovath confirmed that the team will examine the sculptures of the identities of outstanding athletes and have achieved high evaluation of the Sports Commission, both men and women in various fields

General Nem Sovath emphasized: “These sculptures will be prepared soon and will be inaugurated at the end of 2023 at the Victory Monument on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Political Victory Day (December 29, 1998 – December 28, 2023) This is a peaceful achievement achieved by the win-win policy of Samdech Techo Hun Sen.”

The 32nd SEA Games, which is hosted by Cambodia, officially closed on the night of May 17, 2023 under the presidency of PM Hun Sen after the opening ceremony on May 5

After about 16 days of hard competition, the Cambodian athletes won the national medal by standing in the fourth place with a total of 282 medals (81 gold, 74 silver, 127 bronze).
