This is Not a Cage
Bamboo and jute rope, approximately 3 ft wide x 3.5 ft long. Completed in Dec. 2017.
Coming in at around 30hours of work, this one really wore my fingerprints off.
Closeups show how many wraps and knots went into every inch of this.
I am trying to stay close to this style in my future works, but for some reason color has been inching its way into my sculptures. I can't deny the things that ask to be tied up...
I congratulate you on your work, it seems that it requires a lot of dedication but the result is fantastic. I really admire it. I hope you keep sharing these things with us.
