The past arrives to help the future.

Ana was educated a little different, but with home attention and under strict moral norms, her teachers taught all the arts and all the sciences, something very rare for a princess of century XVII, it was the love that her parents had for her that encouraged her to be different at her age, she already knew of diplomacy and leadership, spoke several languages, and her parents taught her how to govern without losing the grace of a Lady. Her mother had died three years ago, so she knew about mourning and sadness, she had also fallen in love with a warrior when he was seventeen, but one day he went to fight and never returned, she knew about corresponded love and abandonment, many emotions for a young girl of twenty-three years old. She also knew stories of wars, of kings and aristocrats, of fantasies, of magic, and of men who with their ingenuity changed the course of history, but she never thought she would be the protagonist of a similar story. 

Princess Ana had always had these different thoughts, not always are children rebellious  towards their parents, she felt that her life had a special meaning, that she was born for something greater. There was no reason to believe that her life would be different, the princess had lived all her life in her palace, hoping that someone would handcuff her to reign with her husband after the death of her father. That was the life her mother had had, the mother of her mother and the mother of her mother’s mother; it had been a long lineage, nevertheless, that night destiny was going to change completely. 

There was not a single cloud in the sky, it was neither hot nor cold, the animals were silent, Ana slept soundly until she heard a noise, a sudden blow, she woke up suddenly. She could not believe it! Distorted what she saw, a ray of blue light crossed his, felt a dry taste in his mouth “Should I scream?” she thought. She was too shocked to react, an oddly dressed man stepped out this distortion, she could not see his face, it looked like he was wearing a cloth armor and carried some weapon she did not recognize. Immediately this man took her and disappeared the same way he arrived, just as several guards arrived to her room to verify what happened, they could not see anything! The princess was simply missing! 

Ana woke up, she was in a small bed in a white room that had light that came from all directions but there were no windows. The mysterious subject simply made a gesture with his hand and his armor dropped, his identity was exposed. Although she had no hair, she could see that she was a woman by the features of her face and chest, Ana watched as her lips moved as she spoke but she did not understand what she was saying, she could recognize some words that seemed familiar. She quickly understood that it was some kind of English, (she spoke German from birth had learned French and some English), but she could not understand this strange English. Quickly the mysterious woman made another gesture with her hand and her voice began to sound exactly like the language she spoke, and then paid attention.

Here in your future we do not have names, we use codes to recognize each other, but you can call me ASDFG. It is the year 2417 of the Christian era, but it is the year two hundred and seventy-one. At the end of 2017 a war that lasted a hundred and twenty-seven years broke out, reducing the population of the earth from eight billion to only five hundred thousand. Then a new world order was established, we have worked hard since then to rebuild and repopulate the world, all our efforts have been concentrated on developing scientific and technological advances quickly and maintaining perpetual peace. Our greatest achievement so far has been a time machine; we created it to look at the future because of our fear of destroying ourselves again, but what we saw left us hopeless, in a few years we do not know exactly when or why a war will begin, we do not know the motive, nor who will direct it, which are the flocks, sometimes we can look at parts of the past and the future, but it takes a lot of energy and time to send someone to a specific place in history. 

Ana understood what ASDF said to her, but she could not understand everything, it was too much information for a single moment. She had so many questions, but she did not know if she should ask or if her questions might have answers. ASDFG continued to explain to her that humans had changed their behavior, having lost their way of being between generations, renouncing the will, wishes and majority of their feeling as a way of rebuilding a stable society. Everything seemed fine, but when we looked to the future we were warned that we needed someone different from us, who had lived in the world as we lived before, who had known a lot of emotions and was willing to defend us from the unknown danger. 

Why me? Ana asked quite disconcerted. ASDFG did not know the answer very well, because she had only done her job and it was not within her job to know or respond to that, so she just stared at her and as if her mouth were autonomous replied “Only you can respond to that”. ASDFG now understood why it had been her; it was only Ana turn to understand. Ana thought internally, I thought it was a dream or some strange effect to that Chinese medicine that had been brought by my uncle, it is not as if these people wanted me to become a war princess or something like that, those were very crazy stories and fantasies. Just at the moment she had more questions for ASDFG, the latter told her that she had to keep looking, she waved her hand and as soon as she had reached her room she disappeared between a blue ray of light, a distortion of space and that feeling of dryness in the mouth.
