Hello there, or should I say Hello world?

This is my first Steemit post and will at the same time be an introduction to Reckoning, a science fiction comicbook conversion project undertaken by yours truly! My main reason for coming to Steemit.

You see I have come to Steemit as a test - To see what the platform is capable of in respect to creating an interest for my venture.

About myself I can briefly say... shucks I hate self promotion, can we just skip that for now and get to the fun part, why don't we say I just let you figure it out along the way, more fun that way! So back to what I arrived at Steemit for, namely Reckoning.

Reckoning is a scifi series I wrote. The first few chapters are available at http://einarpetersen.com/doku.php?id=reckoning - it is part of an open writing exercise I am running. The chapters you can find are the chapters my amazing graphic artists have used to shape the storyboards for the comicbook in accordance to their understanding and with my comments and input to their work.

The current state is undergoing a conversion from short story form into comic book form. The storyboards created will then be modeled in 3D

Things are already well on the way, several storybooks for chapters are already done, each is a like small semi self contained album. All the raw albums are viewable on Patreon.

However check out this preview of a storyboard made for Chapter 6 Plight of the Takyüddin - Please notice it is the raw storyboard that will in turn be used to pose images for the 3D comic.

The project currently runs on the Patreon platform and patrons there are granted access to the production process and can interact with the project if they so like. It is not entirely impossible I would consider planting it more firmly on Steemit given the platform is suitable for this type of creation.

So I will be undertaking some experimental posting regarding Reckoning and if things along the way go well I shall certainly consider the Steemit platform for the project in the future.

On Vimeo you can see an awesome storyboard creation video by Ira Black added some nifty music from Kevin MacLeod of (incompetech.com) - I very much encourage you to use the 3 minutes it takes to get a feel for what is happening with the project.

Several 3D models have been produced and scenery settings are in production as well.

Several of the 3D models have already been released under a CC license for people to print on their 3D printers and more are planned.

You can find these models on the Patreon project pages and I shall be trying to write introductory posts to each model here on Steemit in order to test the viability of the Steemit platform as an awareness maker.

The work has been done in collaboration with people, artists, 3D modellers, programmers, from countries like the Faroe Islands, Denmark, England, Argentina, Germany, China, USA, Bangladesh, Singapore, Romania as well as Mexico, did I forget anyone? :)

I imagine more will join the project rooster as the process continues and the project matures.

Reckoning is in a few words a science fiction story of suspense, conspiracy and heroism, sprinkled with high technology, alien species, grand combat as well as stealthy intrigue.

Reckoning is a story seething with corruption and greed all in need to be circumnavigated by our band of brave protagonists of the Terran Defense Force.

The Military Industrial Complex, The Security Consortium and the NWO, all play their part in this high paced scifi adventure.

The setting is spanning the entire globe and then some.... shall we say to the outskirts of the known or would that be the unknown universe!

The Reckoning comicbook conversion project just seems to be getting better all the time and I absolutely love it!

We've even been lucky enough to have gotten the thumbs up from an actual military advisor (who remains anonymous at this time), for the realism with which battle has been described in several chapters - Now that is pretty darn awesome if you ask me!!!

What patrons are getting out of jumping aboard this venture, is first and foremost access to panels and HQ images from the comicbook as we proceed along.

Patrons will be seeing design shots and other material as it is produced and not lower-quality images on social media or elsewhere, both now and during the production phase. But hey if the Steemit platform is a successful media I might be tempted to do this project in an even more open format, you decide what the final choice will be!

Production of rudimentary 3D poses for panels is expected to begin soon, this is partly hinging on using a motion-capture suit from the Danish team Rokoko who ran the successful SALTO Kickstarter that I happened to back because I saw the immense potential the suit held for my artistic ventures - Current status is that I am awaiting delivery of the suit.

As for reckoning each chapter is written as an independent little story so the aim is that the patrons will end up with a small collection of comicbooks from the Reckoning Universe.

The storyboards for the comics are as explained above nearly locked and 3D production is imminent, with a number of models already created.

The actual 3D version of the comicbook pages, will according to plan enable you to zip and zoom around inside each of the frames on the page and not just passively look at pages as you would an ordinary comicbook, neat eh?
