The Plot

Duffer Brother' Stranger Things is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana, USA during the early 1980s. The private Hawkins National Laboratory had secretly performs scientific research for the United States Department of Energy, but private does experiments into the paranormal and supernatural, and which secretly involved and used human test subjects. As the result they have created a portal to an alternate dimension called "the Upside Down" which is very dangerous for every human being. The Impact of the Upside down has been later exposed to the residents of Hawkins.

In season one begins in November 1983 and focus on the sudden disappearance of Will Byers when he is abducted by a creature from the Upside Down. His mother, Joyce, and the town's police chief, Jim Hopper, search for Will for she know s that something is wrong with the sudden disappearance of the boy. Will's friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, in their own efforts to find Will they search and investigate for their friend.On their search for Will, they had uncovered some dark secrets of the government including meeting a young girl who escaped from the laboratory with a supernatural power.

Nostalgic. Realistic views.Without a doubt the 80's cinematography was perfectly done. I don't know if the photos above doesn't still gives you goosebumps. When you watch the film you feel a certain feeling you can't explain, that nostalgic vibe. The 1983 setting complete with hyper-authentic attention to detail for sure. The 80s as a template for the level of language, peril and violence in the series shown was a brilliant reversal and great to watch.

From the location, to the language, the technology to the fashion everything was tailored perfectly with every bit of details looking so authentic bringing you that 80's vibes. I guess most of us adore the retro, 80's vibe and homage to 80's adventure and thriller movies. Plus one of the thing that adds excitement was he great background music or the soundtrack which is amazing, The series soundtrack features a lot of classic 80s songs as well as some 60s ones which is appropriate to the nostalgic theme and completely brought the show to a whole new level of excitement and roller coaster emotions full of suspense and drama.

Although the Duffer brother had some doubts at first since the casts they made was not that as popular with the exception of Winona Ryders but still the cast made a very great connection with each other and made their characters very effective. This was a challenging group of casts since majority of the main characters are very young. But they live up with the expectation.

Surprisingly the young casts get the attention of e viewers as they were praised for their acting skills. If you had watched the series, you will feel the strong harmony within the casts as they compliments each other's role which makes them stands out. The young casts stole the show.

Another things which made them so effective was te producers use of stock characters of the period — the nerdy kids, the bullies, the small town cop, the strict parents, the high school cliques the mysterious, the sinister authority figures which makes it a lot more relatable thus added more flavor to the series. The presence of Winona Ryder and Matthew Modine is another reason why you should watch the show. Winona's acting was on point. Her acting performance leds her to Golden Globe Nomination.

4. The Suspense and Unpredictability

The series is full of twist and unpredictable events. When you think you got it right then wait for it. A lot of things in the scenes of the series will keep you hanging and wonder. Plus it was really well paced with being not so fast and slow progress and it was a welproduced series.It was a tight 8 episodes not a bloated 12 which gives a much greater intensity.

The 42 to 48 minutes was perfectly just the right length, or perhaps a bit shorter than that, leaving you wanting more episodes. The gaps of per episode will surely bother you to watch and understand every bit of the scenario. The story is told in a clear way that will really be good for the viewers.

Overall this is one of the film that everyone should not missed to watch,although subjective many are claiming that this is the best one that Nextflix has ever ever produced and I couldn't agree more. The series definitely a show that plays on audience's fondness for that show as its gives a major throwback vibes and nostalgia.

The show was fun, thrilling and definitely a quality series. Interestingly it is very discussion-worthy on multiple levels: the story itself, the period detail and twists plus the fond references to tons of other movies, the spectacular performances by everyone will surely melts your hearts out.

I would really recommend this as apart from the mention above , the series gives us a unique dimension as the humor and the horror are combined together and with its combination of funny and scary, it still pulls everything together. The thing is, they both coexist so well in this show which is something very unique.
