Mandela effect
What is the Mandela effect?
Have you ever had a memory, that was so vivid and real but it turned out it wasn't? Well I have, lots of times, mostly with movies. Strange as it may be it’s called the mandela effect and apparently it happens quite often to a lot of people. The reason it’s called the mandela effect is because of a journalist called Fiona Broome, who wrote about it on her website after experiencing a false memory of her own. More specifically the incorrect memory of South African human rights activist and president Nelson Mandela dying in prison during the 1980s, when he actually died in 2013. After the publication of her article, people all around the world started noticing the same small inconsistencies with other things. Ford logo, cola logo, shazam, matrix, ...
Just a false memory.
A false memory is a psychological phenomenon where a person recalls something that did not happen. There is a growing body of evidence that false memories are created whenever memories are recalled. There are numerous police reports and research about eye witness reports being wrong and people make mistakes in remembering the details like the color of his shirt, the shoes he wore, the car he drove. It's just a simple case of the human brain not having enough memory to remember every scene in great detail. The weird thing however is that the mandela effects are recalled exactly the same by lots of different people, how does that work? mass hysteria?
Cern!
CERN which is short for Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire (European board for nuclear research). It’s an organization that researches the behaviour of elemental particles, it uses the world's largest particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider. The theory goes that experiments with the L.H.C. causes distortions in Space-Time that affect events in the past, present and future. A quick look tells us that Fiona Broome started the whole mandela effect hype in 2008.
CERN s an organization that has existed since 1954 and has build lots of different particle accelerators. The latest being the L.H.C. which started in … 2008!!!! Screaming emoji!!!
A glitch in the matrix.
You know the sims game serie, or any other role playing game for that matter. Well some say we live in a computer simulation. Computers and RPG’s are getting so advanced that it is not impossible to imagine that some advanced civilization or alien race has enslaved us and we are bubbling in cocoons, getting the life sucked out of us by tubes, while our minds are connected to a super computer. The double slit experiment, is an experiment where a light source, such as a laser beam, illuminates a plate pierced by two parallel slits, and the light passing through the slits is observed on a screen. The wave nature of light causes bright and dark bands on the screen (a result that would not be expected if light consisted of particles).
However, the light is always found to be absorbed at the screen at discrete points, as individual particles (not waves), the interference pattern appearing via the varying density of these particle hits on the screen. Furthermore, versions of the experiment that include detectors at the slits find that each detected photon passes through one slit (as would a classical particle), and not through both slits (as would a wave. However, such experiments demonstrate that particles do not form the interference pattern if one detects which slit they pass through. That indicates that particles react different when being observed. Does this mean something sentient is watching your every move. Like when you play gta and the cpu starts to spawn pedestrians and cars only in the area you are walking/watching.
In Conclusion:
This one I find very difficult to conclude. Personally I discovered that I had a couple of false memories of movie scenes. I clearly remember dolly in the james bond film Moonraker having braces. Also do I clearly remember morpheus saying “what if I told you everything you know is a lie”. Is it that the neurons in my mind are following a wrong path, or did CERN really fuck up reality in 2008. If we dig a little deeper into the matter we discover that 2008 was a period in time when the internet was booming bigtime. Social media like Facebook and Netlog where very popular things. Youtube had just started, and although Blog’s weren't a new thing Vlog’s on the other hand made there breakthrough.
So after the Dotcom bubble of the early 2000’s the internet as we know it today, take’s shape in 2008 and the entire world is communicating with each other sharing all sorts of emotions and memories. So this is my conclusion of things as I can't find any serious research on the topic, which is kind of strange if you think about it,... or isn't it?
