Coral is a marine invertebrate which typically lives in compact colonies of many identical individuals. This ones are really important as they create coral reefs and secrete calcium carbonate to the oceans. This coral reefs are found in tropical waters and it is made up of polyps how each individual of the coral is called. One of the main purposes of the reef is to protect the coastlines from storms and from the open sea. Even there are few left due to they need special temperatures, some anticancer drugs and painkillers come from the reefs.
